About

"Snowed In" behind-the-scenes

The Birth of the "Snowed in" series

Who doesn't like cheery, white Christmasses? And who hasn't dreamed of getting away from it all and getting snowed in at idyllic locations with your hunky main squeeze and hiding from bad guys and fighting for your life?

Lol. In theory, these Christmas books were supposed to be sweet romantic getaways, but due to my hyperactive imagination, plus my NEED for some adventure instead of lazing about with my characters on these idyllic vacations--these books have become quite the romantic suspenses. My bad.

Also, I'm a sucker for a good underdog with a tragic backstory, and who has it worse than a falsely incriminated fugitive running from the law... but for perfectly noble reasons of rescuing fair maidens in distress or their brother or a cute little nephew... ?

Throw in a good redemption story, and I'm all in! That's where the themes of Grace, Faith, Hope, and Charity came from. Lately, I've been watching a lot of Pureflix and enjoying how they can tackle deep subjects with heart. I love fumbling with hankies while giggling at the cute thing someone's grandma said while simultaneously sighing at how heroic my hero is--all while grappling with deeper subjects that make me realize that life is beautiful, wonderful, inspiring!

What better way to demonstrate this lovely realization than in my writing? I learned a lot about life, myself, and the world around me as I created these novels, and I hope, that in some small way, I can inspire you to think about the true meaning of Christmas that I found in these novels too.

And that's the whole story! Thanks for connecting!

She saved him. Now he will save her. Rough around the edges, Pax had one saving grace in prison--Faith's letters. Unfortunately, her spiritual insights were never meant for him, but for her brother. She has no idea he exists. Fresh out of prison, he vows to change... just not yet. Faith is in danger.

Faith is a naturalist and ranger at Silver Mountain, though its hard to live in such a solitary wilderness by herself, When trouble heads her way because of her brother's seedy past, Faith is dragged away by a man who says he's there to keep her from getting killed. Does Faith have it in her to trust a brooding stranger?  Her life... and heart depends on it.

She is a shattered dancer battling to walk again. He is a military bad boy fallen from grace. Hope's weekend getaway at a snow-kissed resort transforms into a stormy whirlwind when Jag, the man responsible for her life-altering accident, unexpectedly comes to her rescue.

Hope can't believe she's snowed in with the very person who upended her life—Jag, a man whose stormy eyes turn her fiery resistance on its head. With no way to call for help and no way to run, she has never felt so helpless in the hands of someone who holds the power to open the heart she shut so firmly against the world. Desperate to reach her, Jag must somehow gain her trust while confronting his own demons. It's the only way to find a future where blustering snowy days can actually mean Christmas kisses and snuggling next to a cozy fire.
